Winter Watch Service
Pool-closing season is well under way, so now seems like a good time to talk about a Winter Watch Service for your pool and/or spa. Armond Pools, along with many other swimming pool companies, offers a monthly check-up on your pool’s condition. How much is your typical project?
Our swimming pools typically start at $60,000. The majority of our projects will cost somewhere between $100,000 – $150,000 after further options are included, such as a spa, fencing, landscaping and masonry additions.
How long does it take to build a pool?
Most of our projects take between 6-8 weeks to complete from the time we break ground. Larger and more involved projects can take as long as 3 months.
Do you design?
Our design consultants and affiliates offer a full complement of design services to our clients depending on site conditions, budget, and scope of work. Most of our introductory design services cost between $1,500 – $3,500. Should you decided to move forward with Armond Pools to build the project, we will deduct the Design Service fee from the final contract. Swimming pools are permanent additions to any outdoor space and deserve thoughtful consideration by a qualified professional.
Do you charge a consultation fee?
Yes, our typical consultation fee is $250; however, we do not currently charge a consultation fee for those within our immediate service area (Upper and Lower Main Line) or for those who have been directly referred by an existing customer, a landscape designer/architect or a home builder.
Do you renovate and remodel older pools?
Yes, we offer full renovation services from coping, tile and patio upgrades to new interior finishes, mechanical work and even adding a spa or changing the current pool configuration.
Do you handle the entire project?
Yes – we will manage your project from start to finish including all of your masonry, landscaping, and fencing needs in addition to the installation of your pool, spa or water feature.
What is your service area?
We service Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Bucks and Philadelphia Counties in addition to New Castle County, Delaware and parts of New Jersey. Projects located outside of our immediate service area will be considered on an individual basis.
Do you service pools?
We offer service to those pools we have built or renovated.
When should I open my pool?
The ideal opening time is from April 1st through mid-May. Mesh-covered pools should be opening earlier in that time frame, and you should always allow 7-10 days from the date of opening until the pool will be ready for use in case there are any water clarity problems or mechanical issues.
How often do you recommend having my pool serviced?
A pool is a dynamic systems and we recommend weekly service. Pool water that is not balanced at least once a week is more likely to develop algae and other problems.
Do you recommend any service over the winter while my pool is closed?
We suggest our Winter Watch program. Weather permitting, this is a monthly service to treat your pool water as it lays dormant. It will keep your water chemistry from getting too far out of balance, which will help protect your plaster from scaling and helps water quality, making for a smoother opening process. We strongly recommend this for newer pool surfaces and salt pools.
